FAQ
Please find the answer to some of the most frequently asked questions about NullVulpine.
What is NullVulpine?
NullVulpine is the name I use for music and performance. It’s the project identity attached to releases, live sets, visuals, and the story-world that surrounds them.
Depending on context, “NullVulpine” might refer to:
- the music project (tracks, releases, performances)
- the character (the in-world fox-spirit-in-a-robot-body mythos)
- the brand (visual identity, shows, merch, community spaces)
What is Spirit Fox Productions LLC?
Spirit Fox Productions LLC is the entertainment company behind the work. It’s the business entity that handles the operational side of releases and creative projects (things like distribution, contracts, and other professional logistics).
In plain terms: NullVulpine is the stage name/project, and Spirit Fox Productions LLC is the company.
Is NullVulpine “you”?
NullVulpine is a character I perform as and a project name I release under. In real life, I’m just myself: a regular flesh-and-blood creator making music, writing stories, and building the systems behind the scenes.
So: the character is not a claim about my literal biology or day-to-day identity. It’s a performance frame.
What is “Lore” on this site?
Lore is the worldbuilding behind the project. It includes:
- In-world pieces (vignettes, logs, transmissions, scenes, fictional documents)
- Out-of-world notes (explanations of themes, symbolism, and how the setting fits together)
Lore exists to add texture and meaning around the music. You can enjoy the music without reading any lore, and you can read the lore without needing a decoder ring.
Why use a character for performance? Why not perform as yourself?
Because it works.
For me, the character creates a useful separation between everyday me and performance me. That separation helps me sidestep inhibitions and anxiety, and it makes it easier to fully disappear into the music without feeling overly exposed.
It’s also a creative tool:
- it gives the project a consistent visual language
- it supports a bigger story-world for releases and shows
- it turns performances into something closer to theater + music, not just “a person on stage”
What’s “canon” here?
If something appears in the Lore section, it’s part of the setting I’m building—though not every page carries the same weight.
- Stories show how the world feels.
- Codex-style pages explain how the world works.
- Artifacts (logs/transmissions/etc.) might be biased, incomplete, or written from a character’s perspective.
If there’s ever a contradiction, assume the setting is evolving over time rather than “someone is wrong on purpose.”
Who owns the NullVulpine character, stories, and world?
I do.
The NullVulpine character, the setting, and all original story/lore content are my intellectual property unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Who owns the music and recordings?
My releases under NullVulpine are managed through Spirit Fox Productions LLC (the business entity behind the project). Specific licensing and credits may vary by release when collaborators are involved, and will be listed where relevant.
Can I make fan art, fan fiction, or share lore excerpts?
Fan work is welcome as long as it’s non-commercial, credited, and not presented as official canon.
If you want to sell something, use the character in a commercial project, sample large portions of text, or do anything that feels “more official than fan work,” reach out first so we can do it cleanly.
Can I remix your music or use it in streams/videos?
It depends on the track and the platform.
Some releases may be explicitly remix-friendly or cleared for streaming; others may be more restricted due to distribution rules. If you’re unsure, use the safest approach:
- link to the official release
- avoid re-uploads of full tracks
- ask first for anything commercial or monetized
Do you collaborate?
Yes, when it’s a good fit.
If you want to collaborate (music, visuals, writing, performance, events), the best first step is to contact me and share:
- your idea in one paragraph
- what you want to contribute
- what you’d need from me
- where it would live (release, show, video, site, etc.)
If we move forward, we’ll agree in writing on credits and usage so everybody stays protected and nobody gets surprised later.
